A selection of some of our client work and partnerships.
Project Nunavut
Project Nunavut is an Iqaluit-based social enterprise dedicated to enhancing community health, supporting the traditional economy, fostering self-reliance, and promoting an economy rooted in Inuit Societal Values.
Curtis has served as the Director of Photography for two of Project Nunavut’s flagship projects, Lake to Plate and Hunters Harvest, helping to build markets and promote traditional harvesting practices while working closely with local communities.
Lake to Plate promotes Inuit expertise by empowering Inuit fishermen to sell their Arctic char to seafood lovers across Canada. This project is being supported by CanNor and the Government of Nunavut’s Fisheries and Sealing division.
Hunters Harvest is an online platform to connect with Nunavut hunters interested in selling surplus country food within Nunavut. It’s a platform you can trust and brings environmental sustainability and accountability to the territory’s vibrant grassroots trade in country food. This project is being supported by CanNor and the Department of Economic Development and Transportation

Northwest Territories Tourism
Northwest Territories Tourism (NWTT) is a non-profit organizationNWTT serves close to 200 members whose businesses are directly or indirectly involved in the tourism industry. The association has dual responsibilities. NWT Tourism undertakes all the destination marketing activities for the Northwest Territories with funding from the Government of the Northwest Territories, and actively promotes all sectors of tourism for the Northwest Territories in both domestic and international markets.
Working closely with local partners, we developed a shot list, hired models, and secured multiple ideal shooting locations. We created still images, video, and drone footage for North West Territories Tourism. The media captured ranged from outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, and canoeing to hospitality and attractions around Yellowknife. Several local businesses, territorial parks, community members, and landmarks were featured. Content created on this shoot was included in a five-year tourism marketing campaign for the territory.
Wallnuts Climbing Centre
Wallnuts is Newfoundland's first and only full-service indoor climbing gym, founded in 1995. With a focus on community building and coaching, this facility has made the growing sport of climbing accessible, fun, and safe for hundreds of folks interested in creative new forms of fitness that get them outside and exploring nature.
Over several days and locations, Curtis created a library of marketing images that would help showcase the safety, accessibility, and fun of climbing to new potential clients. For the centre itself, we focused on adult and youth programs, indoor facilities, training and correct climbing techniques. Outside, we highlighted the staff's experience with certified guided climbing trips, safety, and outdoor education. Our content was used for marketing, social media, community building, and training for new staff and climbers.
Atiigo Media
Atiigo Media is an Inuit-owned full-service communications firm based in Iqaluit, Nunavut. Since 2003, they have been helping Northern businesses and organizations get their message across.
In the fall of 2021, in collaboration with Atiigo, Curtis designed and delivered a photography training program across the three Nunavut territorial regions. Focusing on the regional hubs, community members were invited to train in the skills of media and photography as well as business and professional development. Curtis also wrote the textbook for this course which covered photography fundamentals, working with models and talent, and creating business from your work.

Newfound Shores
Newfound Shores Gros Morne and the Viking Coast
A marketing add created to promote our popular West Coast of Newfoundland Photo tour.
Newfound Shores workshops are designed to be supportive, creative adventures. We blend photography with an appreciation for the outdoors, culture, and exploration. These are not your typical photography workshops. Our instructors are world-class, and the destinations are unique and full of character. Plus, we have the best/worst jokes, usually at our own expense. We all know the best stories involve a little grit and a lot of grin.
Curtis created Newfound Shores to bring his love for travel, photography, and culture home to the province of Newfoundland and Labrador - and by doing so, share it with the rest of the world. Each trip is unique and tailored not only to its clients but also to the area of the province explored. We infuse as much local history, food, and music as possible into these photo adventures, making each Newfound Shores trip truly one of a kind.
